Laborde Products, Inc. is Hiring a Dealer/Business Development Near Atlanta, GA

>> Dealer/Business Development Dealer/Business Development Summary Title:Dealer/Business DevelopmentID:1103Location:Atlanta, GACategory:Sales Description Laborde Products is an innovative family-owned company with offices in Covington, LA and Deer Park, TX. We provide heavy-duty engines, equipment, service, and support for our customers in the Marine and Industrial/Oilfield markets.

We are currently seeking an energetic **Dealer Development Representative** to work with our current and future dealers to provide support for our existing customers and expand parts, engine, and product sales through the Dealer Network.

**In this role, you will be responsible for:**

**Dealer Network Management**

* Ensures all Dealers are following the Laborde Products (LPI) Dealer Standards and are fulfilling all contractual obligations.

* Performs Dealer assessments and renewals on an annual basis for each dealer and develops an improvement program, if necessary, to continually improve the performance of our dealers.

* Visits dealers quarterly to discuss opportunities, performance, and areas for improvement.

* Consistently increases dealer parts, service and product sales year after year.

* Establishes dealers in key markets and coordinates with engine manufactures to ensure all necessary market areas have dealers in place and are available to support our customers.

* Coordinates with Marketing to ensure the LPI Dealer Maps and contact information are up to date.

* Plans and executes effective Dealer meetings with various Dealer groups on an annual basis.

**Dealer Sales**

* Collaborates with Dealers on sales opportunities and identifies and implements programs to stimulate Dealer sales.

* Educates Dealers and their teams on LPI, our Engine Manufacturers and the competitive advantages of our engines and products.

* Coordinates with Marketing to develop marketing and promotional materials for Dealers and provides support at industry events and trade shows.

**Dealer Service & Parts**

* Ensures Dealer has the appropriate personnel and equipment to support our customer.

* Promotes service training for Dealers Technicians.

* Verifies parts inventory requirements are being followed and works with Dealers to ensure the right parts inventory is in stock.

* Communicates promotional programs to the Dealer Network and encourages participation.

* Assists Dealer with warranty issues.

* Ensures Dealers receive up to date parts and service manuals for all engines and products.

* Promotes the use of our online parts system and performs training and troubleshooting for the Dealers.

* May perform other duties as required by business needs.

**Qualifications we are looking for:**

* Bachelor's degree preferred.

* 2 - 5 years of sales experience.

* Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.

**Skills you will need:**

* Knowledge of engines, industrial equipment, and commercial marine vessels would be preferred.

* High energy with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

* Willing to face complex issues head on and work through challenges to build a stronger organization.

* Well-developed interpersonal skills.

* Exceptional verbal communication, listening & presentation skills.

* Ability to work well individually and as part of a team with diverse personalities. Tactful and mature.

* Strong customer service mentality.

* Strong organizational skills

* Professional demeanor and appearance

* Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with Dealers.

* Strong computer skills (Microsoft suite, Salesforce ERP system, etc.)

**Work Environment and Physical Demands:**

* This is a remote position but requires frequent travel that may include several hours of driving per day and requires the ability to lift items up to 50 lbs on occasion.

**Work Schedule and Benefits:**

* This position is expected to work eight-hour days, Monday - Friday.
