At La Farm Bakery, we’re looking for top talent to play an integral role in our local, authentic European Bread Bakery!

As Our Pastry Supervisor, You Will:

• Assist Production Manager in directing, controlling, and executing pastry production to La Farm systems, policies, and procedures.
• Assist Production Manager with production schedules and labor schedules to ensure objectives are met.
• Inspect the quality of ingredients and measure them for specific recipes.
• Clean the equipment and utensils and maintain the kitchen clean and in good order for proper functioning.
• Ensure overall unit safety and sanitation goals and policies.
• Maintain freshness of freezer/cooler organization/rotation.
• Control inventory levels and ensure proper ordering of pastry items.
• Maintain budget, food/product costs, labor costs, and other controllable costs of unit operations.

Qualifications

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Skills and Experience:

• Previous professional culinary experience.
• Production skills, technique, consistency and accuracy.
• Familiarity with utilizing pastry production equipment.
• Strategic thinking to continually improve systems and processes.
• Excellent organizational skills (detail oriented, goal oriented, follow through).
• Great relationship building skills and demonstrated positive demeanor as a team player.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment, multitask and accurately meet deadlines.
• Flexibility: Weekends required, holiday work required, two days off (not consecutive).
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Essential Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend and lift 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
