KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Desktop Support Technician: Win OS / Mac OS, AD / Azure AD, O365, MSFT Intune, & desktop imaging / deployment required
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Irvine, CA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for desktop systems, including both hardware and software issues. This role will require strong expertise in managing and troubleshooting various operating systems and applications, including Windows OS, Mac OS, Office 365, and Intune. The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of desktop imaging, SCCM, ADFS, and Azure AD, Group Policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for desktop hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, including Windows OS and Mac OS, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Manage and support Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, resolving user issues and providing guidance as needed.
- Utilize Intune for endpoint management, including device enrollment, configuration, and compliance monitoring.
- Perform desktop imaging and deployment tasks using SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), ensuring consistent and efficient deployment of software and updates.
- Administer and support Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), managing user authentication and access control across multiple systems.
- Implement and maintain Group Policy settings to enforce security policies, software installations, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Document support activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system configurations, to maintain accurate records and knowledge base.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in desktop support, actively participating in training and professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in managing Windows OS (Windows 10/11) and Mac OS environments.
- Experience with Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and mobile device management.
- Skill & experience in desktop imaging (any tool welcome) and deployment with SCCM
- Experience with Active Directory / Azure Active Directory and Group Policy administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
