POSITION OVERVIEW

The Marketing Assistant provides vital support to the Marketing and Business Development team. This individual will contribute to the gathering, editing, and inputting of information to be used throughout KFI’s marketing infrastructure. This position will assist the Marketing Coordinators in creating proposals, project sheets, resumes, presentations, and other marketing materials as needed. Additionally, the Marketing Assistant will support scheduling and organizing the logistics of industry trade shows, conferences, and other business development events. This individual will also provide consistency and quality control of marketing materials, website and social network updates, and firm communications.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Assist the marketing team with the distribution of resumes/project sheets to the prime consultant when we are a sub consultant; ensuring content is relevant and consistent with the opportunity. 
  • Gather information for project sheets, compile and format into the template, track down missing information, enter project stats in Vision.
  • Assist with website updates and social network updates.
  • Support the marketing coordinators with written proposal development, including compiling non-technical data, editing, printing, assembly, and submittal of proposals.
  • Gather, update, and maintain the project experience and resume databases with consistent writing and formatting.
  • Organize project photos.
  • Assist with industry conference and trade show logistics, including booth space rental, pre-show promotions, and trade show scheduling.
  • Assist in professional organization administration, including registrations, meetings, etc.
  • Maintain and input data into our CRM database.
  • Perform other corporate marketing duties and responsibilities as they arise.

EDUCATION

Bachelors’ degree in Marketing or Communications, or a related field is required.

COMPENSATION

Recognizing the importance of this position to KFI, a competitive hourly wage and benefits package will be offered. Note that this position is non-exempt, and eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Minimum of one to three years related work experience, preferably within an Engineering/Architecture/Construction industry.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in database, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics/publishing/presentation software: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM/Deltek Vision.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to assist with marketing and technical copy. 
  • Must be well organized with attention to detail and a passion for quality.
  • Graphics capabilities to include concept design, layout, text formatting, image formatting, and knowledge of graphics software (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop).
