Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple small scale structural steel and miscellanious steel projects in the Baltimore, Washington and Northern Virginia areas.
- Review project documents, contracts and proposals to fully understand the scope of work required.
- Work with detailers and engineers to coordinate submittal drawings.
- Manage the submittal process for shop drawings, product data, certifications, welding plans, safety plans etc...
- Meet with customers and contractors as needed to coordinate activities and schedules.
- Obtain field dimensions and verify jobsite conditions.
- Order materials, equipment and contract with subcontractors when required.
- Coordinate fabrication with production manager and other project managers for just in time fabrication.

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. We will consider experience as an assistant project manager as well.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Experience with metal fabrication processes and machinery such as press brakes, shears, iron workers, welders and general shop machinery required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, project managers, and clients
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control and efficiency.
