Keen Footwear is Hiring a Community Impact Manager Near Portland, OR

General Summary

The KEEN Effect Community Impact Manager works to maximize the organization's positive impact by leading the company's philanthropy strategy, including the management of strategic partners and annual grant program(s). The Community Impact Manager is responsible for bringing values to life internally, by managing internal volunteerism, hosting and attending relevant events, and serving as the lead for climate-related disaster response within the organization. The Community Impact Manager serves as a bridge for cross-functional teams to ensure the company's DEI goals and initiatives are achieved.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Strategizes and oversees KEEN's philanthropic partnerships, annual grant programs, employee volunteerism, cause marketing campaigns, and in-kind donations to support the department's long term goals. Respond to all incoming donation requests and relevant partnership inquiries.
  • Ensures KEEN Effect actions, partners, and communications support the organization's DEI initiatives. Serve as KEEN Effect leader on DEI focused teams. Form coalition or working group to advise on how to build diversity, equity, and inclusion into the grantmaking and partnership programs and JEDI Team.
  • Partners and collaborates with KEEN Effect leadership and internal I&E teams to create storytelling assets and content across external web and social platforms. Creates and maintains storytelling kits for relevant teams.
  • Represents KEEN Effect by hosting events that build coalitions around relevant causes. Participates on relevant industry boards, coalitions and/or advisory councils as needed. Assists in executing advocacy priorities and lobbying.
  • Manages organization's volunteerism. Creates opportunities for employees to utilize their volunteer hours and maximize the organization's matching gifts policy.
  • Leads organizational initiatives to respond to climate-related disasters, including program development, promotions, and operations.
  • Tracks and adheres pre-established annual budget and establishes and maintains impeccable record-keeping for quick turn annual reporting.

Background, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Environmental Studies, or Social Sciences
  • Minimum four to six (4-6) years experience working in diverse areas of corporate social responsibility, environmental and/or social justice, or community relations in either the for profit or nonprofit sector.
  • Minimum four to six (4-6) years experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Required experience managing philanthropic partnerships
  • Trained in and high level of competency working with and elevating the importance of DEI within a workplace.
  • Personal interest in environmental and/or social justice.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain positive professional relationships with internal groups, nonprofit partners, and vendors
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing and communication strategy
  • Strong attention to detail, follow through and project management skills

Travel Required

Up to 20% of work time will involve travel

Base Salary: $105,000 - $115,500 yearly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and location.
