We are currently seeking a qualified Accounts Receivable Specialist for our Main Office located in Honolulu, HI.
The A/R Specialist is responsible for performing routine A/R task operations, maintaining database of student account records, assisting Finance Manager in generating monthly reports and preparing daily bank deposits and reports.
Job Duties and Essential Functions
- Student billing; processing monthly statements for upcoming tuition
- Updates billing software with current tuition charges and fees
- Facilitate Collections / Accounting suspensions and termination process
- Interact with parents and schools regarding tuition, distributing reports and management payments and inquiries
- Assists and follows up with Center Directors on all accounting items and processing tuition assistance documents
- Monitors payments
- Assists booking services provider in processing vendor invoices
- Handle inputting of new students, updating profiles of existing students, terminating existing students
- Assists Finance Manager with projects and tasks as needed.
- Complete other projects and tasks for the organization as requested by management
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Advanced degree preferred
- Coursework in accounting and bookkeeping
- Minimum of two years’ experience in booking or accounting preferred
