Position: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: $21 to $22/hr (depending on experience)

Experience:

• Four (4) years as a full charge accounts payable and purchasing card administrator in a medium to large organization
• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience
• Higher Education and/or non‐profit organization experience

Education: Two (2) years of college education, vocational school, or associate's degree in the area of accounting or business administration

Type: Full-time; Temporary

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Prepare all invoices for payment for vendors, including Financial Aid refunds to students
• Input all approved PO’s and invoices for vendors into Banner
• Cut checks and send for approvals
• Handle incoming, outgoing, returned, and distribution of mail
• Maintain a numerical filing system of all purchase orders
• Review monthly statements from vendors and check if all outstanding amounts have been paid
• Handle internal AP reports to ensure outstanding invoices and/or checks are voided/reissued as necessary
• Assist students, parents, external vendors, and staff with processing and paying vendor invoices and/or student refunds
• Train new hires on the AP and PCard processes
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Experience with computerized accounting programs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of Ellucian (Banner) Software
• Detail-oriented, ability to proactively follow up and resolve issues
