KCAA Preschools is looking for an energetic, motivated Preschool Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to working hands-on with the keiki of Hawaii to develop and grow. This position is located at our KCAA Kuapa Preschool location in Hawaii Kai. Job Summary Responsible, under the supervision of the Center Director, for establishing and implementing goals and objectives meeting a developmentally appropriate curriculum as well as being sensitive to individual needs of the group; to establish and maintain regular, ongoing communications with parents; maintaining positive, nurturing attitude towards each individual child; and utmost, ensuring the health and safety of the children in the care of KCAA. Additional responsibilities include: implementing creative teaching techniques in guiding children in developing basic skills, a high degree of self-discipline, good physical, social and mental habits; submitting educational supplies requests needed to maintain class program; accurately and timely completing all necessary records and reports as required; improving teaching methods and professional competency. Minimum of 6 months experience working with young children and a Child Development Associate certificate with 36 credits in Early Childhood Education. Must be able to successfully pass DHS Criminal History Check and a background check.
