Job Responsibilities

As the lead for Equipment Finance Risk within Commercial & Investment Banking (CB), you will oversee a team of Risk professionals focused on equipment asset valuation and loan and lease structuring that partner with underwriters across the globe to deliver equipment finance solutions to clients and prospects within Commercial Banking. Key responsibilities and activities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with Head of Equipment Finance and other internal partners to develop and drive Equipment Finance strategy for the CB, including updating internal processes and workflow for reviewing and managing Equipment Finance opportunities through the entire transaction lifecycle
• Provide a highly focused risk management lens to all Equipment Finance strategic initiatives and process improvements
• Foster meaningful working partnerships across the CB Risk organization
• Lead Structuring - Asset Valuation team of 7-10 individuals to optimize the group’s role
• Form well thought out, independent views and be able to voice your opinion in a clear, concise manner and defend that position with partners and senior leadership
• Act with a sense of urgency and drive execution to meet both internal and client deadlines
• Provide leadership in the market by being a positive contributor to the team, including being a mentor to less experienced team members, embracing change and participating in various projects or improvement exercises for the benefit of the organization

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Completion of a major corporate or commercial bank credit training program (or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience) and a thorough understanding of bank credit policies and procedures
• 15 years professional experience in Equipment Finance or related experience
• Prior management experience and proven ability to partner effectively with stakeholders
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal, written analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Experience and comfort presenting and partnering with executive leadership
• Change agent who can identify and implement the most effective processes to support colleagues and clients
• Experience with leading and partnering with global teams. High degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work well under pressure
