Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and stimulating environment. The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department. This includes managing accounting staff, coordinating and implementing accounting work, producing financial statements and reports, and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and comply with legal regulations.
Responsibilities
As an Accounting Manager, you will:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership.
3. Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
4. Lead and manage monthly financial close process and ensure financial statements are accurate.
5. Review and analyze financial data and prepare monthly financial reports.
6. Coordinate and execute the annual audit process with external auditors.
7. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and accounting principles.
8. Develop and implement financial risk management policies.
9. Participate in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
10. Support the company in achieving its financial objectives and goals.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree or CPA would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. Knowledge of SEC/FINRA compliance issues and experience in dealing with such matters.
4. Experience with 1-2 years of audit is ideal but not a must
5. Proficient in accounting software with a keen understanding of how financial systems interrelate with each other.
6. Strong supervisory skills and the ability to manage a team.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
10. Excellent business acumen and ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines.
