JL Schwieters is Hiring a Human Resources Director Near Hugo, MN

JL Schwieters is seeking a Human Resources Director. The HR Director will lead the Human Resource Department including employee management, benefits & talent acquisition. The duties will include collaborating with senior management to understand company goals and strategy. Overseeing all HR functions, benefits administration, creating and enforcing HR policies and programs and aide in creating and implementing the company s people management strategy. This position will manage a team of HR Managers & generalist in respect to talent acquisition & daily employee management. This person will work with Marketing to create and implement recruiting strategies to attract new talent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and coordination of policies, procedures and programs covering critical HR initiatives including talent acquisition, compliance, performance management, diversity/inclusion, compensation/incentive plans, communications.
  • Oversee employee reviews, compensation, training, retention, diversity & inclusion programs.
  • Work with HR Manager and Safety Director on all work comp, safety reporting and return to work.
  • Oversee disciplinary action up to and including terminations.
  • Develop & implement company policy regarding benefits and insurance. Responsible for ongoing evaluation of benefits and cost, prepare renewals, conduct annual audits, and ensure compliance with all programs.
  • Oversee and manage the full cycle recruitment process.
  • Directly involved in high level talent acquisition including screening, interviewing & onboarding.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • At Least 10 years in HR Management, with 3-5 years in senior management experience with 200 employees.
  • HR Experience in skilled trade/manufacturing a plus.

General Hours, Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00pm in Hugo
