ABOUT THE POSITION

Summary

This role will have the day-today and general management of the human resources and talent acquisition department with a primary focus on departmental leadership, strategic problem solving and management, and driving accountability to corporate talent acquisition targets. This position will report directly to the Chief of Staff and will have department leadership responsibilities for reporting on key departmental performance indicators. This role will have oversite on talent acquisition processes for both revenue generating and revenue support positions. Finally, this role will have ownership of all human resources functions like policy management and performance management.

· Ownership of proactive talent acquisition program

· Ownership of comprehensive hiring standards, candidate vetting, and selection criteria

· Oversite of employee relations, firm culture, and employee retention

· Ownership of JB branding as employer of choice

· Oversite of human resource functions, performance management and offboarding

WHO WOULD DO WELL IN THIS POSITION?

Knowledge & Skills

· 5 years of department management experience

· 5 years of legal or professional services recruiting experience

· Index-based testing experience

· Experience with Salesforce based applicant tracking systems

· Experience leveraging recruitment tools and technology for purposes of creating partially automated applicant and interviewer candidate vetting experience

· Fostering accountability through tracking and reporting real-time activity and results-based KPI’s

· Experience in sustaining process-driven full-cycle recruiting

· Experience in project management

· Entrepreneurial Operation System (EOS) familiarity is preferred

· Must be process- oriented and strong problem solving abilities

· Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· : Demonstrated success in leading HR and talent acquisition functions and teams, including developing operational calendars, managing budgets, and overseeing departmental processes, technologies, and resources. Seat holder will sit on our 6 person management team, so ability to lead from the front is crucial.

·: Extensive experience in proactive scouting and recruitment of top talent, with a focus on aligning recruitment targets with organizational growth objectives. Strong ability to develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies leveraging market trends, networking, and technology. Ability to build a pipeline and determine when to hire local, hire remote, hire part time/contract, outsource or offshore. True professional constantly engaged in learning about the profession of recruitment and optimizing results in leveraging people and technologies.

§ Strategy in developing and cultivating pipelines of high-end professionals

§ Relationships with schools and referral sources

§ Specialty knowledge: offshoring

§ Specialty knowledge: remote working

§ Specialty knowledge: part time/contract labor

§ Specialty knowledge: tech-supported recruitment campaigns and communications

§ Resource and budget forecasting acumen

· : Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing and optimizing Applicant Tracking Systems to streamline recruitment processes, enhance candidate experiences, and facilitate efficient candidate management from initial contact to onboarding.

§ Flair or other Salesforce-based platforms

§ Automating recruitment functions

§ Candidate profile building and pipeline reporting

· : In-depth knowledge and experience in designing and implementing robust hiring standards, selection criteria, and assessment methodologies to ensure cultural alignment and excellence in new hires. Proficiency in utilizing technology to streamline candidate evaluation processes effectively.

o Bonus experience:

§ EOS related hiring and performance management

§ Culture/Predictive/Judgment index testing and management

· : Track record of fostering positive employee relations and enhancing organizational culture through initiatives aimed at boosting engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Experience in executing branding initiatives such as JB FOR ME and managing employee relations effectively.

o Bonus experience:

§ Engagement and relations ideas/event production

§ Culture and Engagement tech platform management

§ Leading cross-departmental culture committees aimed at employee fulfillment and retention

· Strategic Employer Branding: Strong expertise in developing and implementing strategic employer branding initiatives to position the organization as an employer of choice. Proven ability to cultivate a compelling employer brand narrative that resonates with target talent demographics, leveraging storytelling, targeted marketing, and employee advocacy to attract top candidates and drive recruitment success.

o Bonus experience:

§ Work product showing branding and ability to directly create of same

§ Proven network of referral sources to tap into for reactive hiring when necessary

§ Proven experience in online reputation management solutions

· : Ability to oversee limited HR functions, including performance management, offboarding processes, policy development, and HR reporting, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal standards. Note, we dumped HR at the end of this description of the role. That should be an indication that we are not looking for run of the mill HR professionals who are in the business of paper pushing. We are looking for professionals with talent in recruiting who can help us execute the simple administrative functions of an HR department where not much is asked of the department from your typical perception of what an HR department does. In other words, this job is 90% recruiting and 10% HR.
