Position Overview:
The Director of Finance will serve as a key leader within our organization, responsible for managing the financial intricacies of our restaurant group operating within a hotel setting. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of both restaurant and hotel finance, capable of driving financial performance and fostering collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the overall objectives of the restaurant group and the hotel.
- Partner with the hotel's finance team to streamline financial processes, ensuring alignment and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts for the restaurant group, incorporating input from various stakeholders.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management and ownership, highlighting financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage cash flow, capital expenditures, and working capital requirements in collaboration with the hotel's finance team.
- Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Experince in progressive finance leadership experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on both restaurants and hotels.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, financial analysis, and revenue management principles.
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strategic outlook, capable of balancing day-to-day responsibilities with long-term objectives.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting software, and ERP systems; experience with hotel property management systems is a plus.
