JBT has an opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our Proseal team based in Macclesfield, UK. Reporting into our UK Sales Manager our Technical Sales Engineer will manage and develop our existing and potential customer base across the UK. A proven track record in the management and development of direct sales to end-user customers is sought. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to unearth new projects and customers and be the “eyes and ears” of the company within your territory. Your ultimate aim will be to build relationships and deliver customer care that will exceed our competition to ensure our customers have no reason to use another tray-sealing supplier.

JBT is an international market leading company in the global food processing industry, we make market leading machinery for food production lines. Proseal UK Ltd is the part of our company where the design and manufacturing of high quality tray sealing and conveying systems takes place. Proseal have manufacturing facilities in the United States and Australia along with distributors worldwide.

The Opportunity ...

Working with existing and new customer in the UK dealing with sales enquiries at all levels from simple tool enquiries to advising customer on the purchase of complete production lines/fleets of equipment; development of new tray-sealed products.

• Grow the product category revenue and potential within your territory, and report on market trends and initiatives and competitor activities
• Assist and take ownership of annual forecasts, regional go to market strategy and dealing with urgent customer issues
• Maintain up-to-date customer information, prepare and submit reports and collaborate with the JBT products group and Proseal sales team to identify “cross selling” opportunities
• Speak at and attend company seminars and attend trades shows
• You will hold a current driving licence and will be allocated a vehicle allowance, a company phone and laptop.

• We are looking for someone with strong team working skills
• Accustomed to working to deadline
• Experience researching and generating leads
• Previous experience working in a machine manufacturing organisation or within packaging equipment would be amazing but we welcome all experience in Technical Sales
