The purpose of this position is to develop and ensure implementation of the JT International USA sales strategies and programs within the incumbent's sales territory in order to achieve the Company's financial, sales, and volume quarterly/annual targets. The sales representative assumes a primary role in the development of JTI sales within the territory by achieving all sales objectives and by maximizing the distribution and merchandising of our products while working within the guidelines set by corporate policy. Incumbent must be able to communicate in a timely, efficient, and effective manner and build relationships with customers.

**Territorial Region - San Diego & Orange County, CA**

**Education**

BA degree is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

**Work Experience**

2 to 3 years of sales or sales merchandising experience preferred but not required, with outside consumer products sales experience a plus.

**Language Skills**

Fluency in English. A second language may be a plus depending on the territory.

**Functional Skills:**

Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with some knowledge of the internet

**Main Areas of Responsibility**

* Attain sales, distribution, merchandising, and product inventory level objectives in the retail and wholesale outlets within his/her territory as assigned by the District Sales or Regional Account Manager.

* Merchandise, display, and communicate our products' messages to the ultimate consumer.

* Effective communication/negotiation skills with the retail trade to achieve optimum merchandising, display, and price point communication while building and maintainig relationships.

* Present a professional image, create and maintain good business rapport.

* Internal and external clients in line with the Corporate Policy guidelines.

* Give superior service in a timely and efficient manner.

* Manage consignment funds.

* To perform any other tasks given by the direct manager.
