Accounts Payable Clerk NEEDED.
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AP Clerk to join our team. As an AP Clerk, you will be responsible acquiring and processing invoices, assisting in the reconciliation of accounts, and paying vendors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
- Maintain historical records by scanning and filing documents
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Understand expense accounts and cost centers
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
