Required Qualifications

• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent GED
• Proof of COVID vaccination required
• Must be at least 18 years old

Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and leads them from the waiting room to the exam rooms; prepares patients for examination or treatment; and collects vital signs.
• Offers support to the physician, as needed.
• Performs Spirometry and other breathing tests as directed.
• Prepares and maintains treatment materials and equipment, including sterilization.
• Accomplishes necessary documents in the patient's medical record.
• Measures, collects and records patients' vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and prepares patients for examinations and tests, procedures and x-rays.
• Performs routine patient testing, acquires and processes electrocardiograms, and collects and processes blood specimens and urine samples.
• Prepares and administers routine oral, and rectal, medications, injections and vaccinations excluding controlled substances, as directed by Physician. Identifies and reports adverse reactions.
• Performs allergy prick testing and/or intradermal testing as ordered by the Physician.
• Maintains emergency equipment such as oxygen, a code kit, suction, and so on.
• Removes sutures and staples and changes sterile and non-sterile dressings, as requested.
• Accurately prepare and administer medication to residents. Observe resident for reaction or side effects and document/report as required.
