Interco has an opening for a Business Development Representative in the Industrial Metals Trading Department at the company's Commercial Operations office on The Hill in St. Louis, Missouri. We are looking for someone who wants to be great and work for a great company.
This job consists of conducting market analysis and making calls to Fortune 500 companies, setting phone calls, Teams meetings, etc. An outstanding candidate should be able to write articulate and succinct emails, process and analyze information and synthesize both pricing and market information back to the commercial team.
The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, with the ability to work both in a team environment and alone. This person is passionate, resourceful, perceptive, dependable, and driven with a desire to learn about and excel in an exploding industry. This candidate will possess an insatiable thirst to relentlessly develop and master robust business development skills, while also demonstrating an unwavering drive to achieve exceptional financial success.
Although this is an entry-level position, the right applicant has a very strong likelihood for advancement, driven by their demonstrated achievements. The candidate will be evaluated on the quality of leads produced and the overall success achieved by the team. This position is the training ground and precursor to the very lucrative Commercial Assistant position within the company.

Interco has been recycling computers, batteries, metals, and electronics with a focused track record of innovation and integrity since 1996. The company specializes in the placement of smelter-ready materials catering to commercial, industrial, dealer, and government organizations nationwide.
The Interco recycling facilities are separated into three departments: nonferrous metals, computers and electronics, and battery processing. The nonferrous facility is located on the 40-acre main campus in Madison (IL) while the computers and electronics are processed in Edwardsville where the Administrative and some logistics offices are located. The commercial department is located on The Hill in St. Louis.
The patent-pending 22-acre 225,000 sqft Critical Mineral Recovery™ Lithium-ion battery processing plant in Fredericktown, Missouri opened in Q3 2023
