Job Title: Accountant
Position Type: 12-month contract to hire
Location: Rockville, MD
Salary Range / Rate (Currency): $60k-80k/yr, $30-40/hr

Job Summary (Responsibilities and Requirements):
Responsibilities:
- Review payment applications and expense reimbursement forms.
- Prepare online banking transactions.
- Track fixed assets, including creation, transfer, and scrapping processes.
- Fill out Form-1099 at the end of each fiscal year.
- Perform physical inspections of fixed assets and participate in quarterly stock counts.
- Collaborate with the SOX and Audit teams.
Requirements:
- Collaborating with Mandarin-speaking colleagues or partners, proficient Mandarin will be highly preferred
- 2 years accounting working experience
- AICPA certification preferred.
- Experience in an accounting department is a plus.
- Proficient in financial accounting principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
