Established in 1982, IPT is headquartered in Goleta, California – where you will find our OEM Partner Services, International Sales, and Foreign Military Sales business units. Our U.S. Government Sales office is strategically located in Dayton, Ohio near Wright Patterson, AFB and various aerospace manufacturers. To complement the two office locations in the United States, IPT has numerous sales representatives throughout the world. Each team is staffed with experienced procurement managers committed to providing unsurpassed customer service.

Role Summary:

This entry-level position supports domestic and international military customers through building and maintaining relationships, managing sales pipelines and contract lifecycles, and serving emergent aerospace and defense needs.

Requirements:

  • Must be in the Santa Barbara area. This is not a remote role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Experience in a sales or business development role

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand and communicate the value of technical products to a varied audience
  • Flexibility to deliver value both as an individual contributor and as a part of a team
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, and driven by results
  • Strong written and presentational communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to build customer relationships and nurture revenue opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and excel in quality customer service by establishing and enforcing high organizational standards
  • Maintain and grow relationships with clients and customers by providing support, information, and guidance
  • Researching and recommending new opportunities, and recommending profit and service improvements
  • Increase sales volume, product line, and selling price by monitoring costs, competition, and market intelligence
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information for internal use, customer use, or client use
  • Service existing client and customer accounts by obtaining new contracts and managing contracts through delivery
  • Creatively develop solutions to resolve project discrepancies
