- Support all phases of the paratransit eligibility process for Access Link including but not limited to taking phone calls and responding in real-time to customer inquiries in a high-volume “ONE CALL RESOLUTION” call center setting.
- Assist with maintaining accurate information in the customer database by responding to information provided via phone, email, and mail.
- Assist new and current customers with understanding new technology and initiatives.
- Assist with making referrals for Travel Instruction and all other projects related to the paratransit eligibility process.
- Answer and respond to customer phone calls in a high-volume call center setting.
- Schedule telephone or in-person interviews.
- Assist with maintaining accurate customer data.
- Follow-up with requests for assistance with registering to vote and/or participating in other initiatives.
- Follow-up with customers who have requested referrals for travel instruction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish - REQUIRED. Need to read, write and speak Spanish AND English at a 12th-grade level.
- Ability and desire to work with a team responsible for educating people with disabilities about available transportation options, required.
- Excellent writing skills, are required.
- Knowledge of computers is required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently required.
- Ability to travel to and from locations in NJ that may not be accessible by public transportation, required.
- At least one (1) year of experience working with people with disabilities, is desired.
- Customer service experience, public speaking, and knowledge of transportation are desirable.
