Ingram Industries is looking for an experienced Benefits Manager to provide support to the members of our benefits department located in Nashville, TN . This corporate-level position is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the various company-wide employee (and retiree) benefit programs related to health and welfare plans. You will provide guidance, support, and training to the Benefit Services Representatives and assist the Benefits Director with the administration of health and welfare programs
What you will be doing:

• Managing Benefit Services Representative team, including hiring, training, and providing professional development opportunities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.
• Providing guidance and assistance on day-to-day administration of employee health and wellness benefit plans, including interpretation of Summary Plan Descriptions, eligibility, plan options, features, and enrollment requirements.
• Resolving complex benefits and customer service issues.
• In collaboration with the Benefits Director, assists with the communication of benefit-related materials through the year.
• Serving as a liaison with HR managers and third-party service providers, insurance carriers, consultants, and brokers as applicable with the Benefits Director for problem resolution.
• Processing and approving premium billings for various carriers.
• Reviewing routine processes, recommending, and implementing process improvements.
• Conducting special projects as directed by Benefits Director.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 5 years' relevant experience required, including demonstrated comprehensive management responsibilities.
• Requires knowledge of ERISA and other regulatory requirements of qualified welfare benefit plans.
• Knowledge of medical, dental, and insurance terminology and standard medical insurance practices a plus.
• Demonstrated professional leadership responsibilities required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with broad range of associates throughout the organization is required.
• Staff supervision and development skills required to provide for associate professional development.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, recurring deadlines, and changing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft or other HRIS systems and benefit administration systems preferred.
