Position: Operations Manager

We are a fast-growing, innovative fintech company looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Operation representative to work on-site at our client's HQ in Austin, TX.

This is a new role for our company and our client and we expect the right person to grow with our firm and take a strategic role in the company long term.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management and ensuring compliance for our client's operations including managing operations, establishing processes and procedures, and sustaining growth. S/he will provide the leadership and management necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people in place to ensure operating efficiency.

The Operations Manager will report directly to the COO and closely coordinate and integrate with the executive team for strategic and tactical management of the overall enterprise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategize, plan, and build or implement business process improvements and assist in prioritizing projects according to business demands
• Prepare timelines and project plans with each team for systems implementation and/or provide input regarding such plans
• Ensure staffing levels and qualifications are appropriate for short-term and long-term objectives
• Manage and monitor daily operations, and ensure the company is on track to achieve short-term/long-term goals
• Work collaboratively with the Finance department on P&L statements, budgets, & forecasts, etc.
• Monitor and analyze workflow to identify obstacles to execution and escalation management to avoid missing deadlines and/or deliverables
• Create a work environment in which employees are committed to their organization and feel pride and job ownership.
• Develop operational and financial performance metrics by efficient utilization of resources.
• Identify opportunities for improved efficiency and execute process improvement initiatives to drive enhanced business results.
• Ensure strategies are translated into specific objectives and plans, encourage cross-functional collaboration to align efforts, and set realistic yet aggressive timeframes for achieving objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple departments and competing priorities simultaneously
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skill set
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
• Understanding of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
