Industry FT is Hiring a Business Development Financial Services / Investor Relations Near Austin, TX

Position: Business Development Manager / Investor Relations

We are a fast growing real estate company based in Austin, TX looking to add a key team member to our Business Development / Investor Relations team. 

This is a new role for our company and we expect the right person to grow with our firm and take a strategic role in the company long term.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of working with investors and have experience with the capital raising process.

This is a tremendous opportunity to help shape the future of our business and be at the forefront of an organization that’s transforming real estate development and private capital. You would join our team full time and be based in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Source new investor relationships through networking, inbound requests and through prospecting efforts.
  • Perform extensive research to better understand the firm, its projects and the market.
  • Manage, forecast, and report activity and pipeline to meet targets and company goals.
  • Reflect and summarize conversations to collaborate internally with your support team to capitalize on new opportunities.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience within the world of finance is a plus but not necessary. An understanding of private capital, alternative investments, wealth management or capital markets is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and passionate about working with entrepreneurs.
  • Must be self-accountable and be able to work independently.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, empathetic personality, passionate, competitive, and organized.
  • Eager to conquer new challenges on a daily basis.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Well-rounded with varied interests, background and experience.
