Project Engineer/Manager PE (Land Development) - CivilLakewood, CO • CivilJob TypeFull-time, Part-timeDescriptionWe are looking for a civil project engineer/manager to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Lakewood, Colorado office. This engineer will work for multiple project managers on a broad range of project types. This position will have a design focus in the single-family and multi-family market but will provide additional opportunities for design and project management in overall land development projects including commercial and industrial developments, mass overlot grading design and sequencing, and roadway and utility infrastructure to support masterplan communities.A typical work week can include engineering calculations, drawing development, site visits, etc. Projects are typically in the Rocky Mountain Region but can sometimes take us nationally, offering the opportunity to travel. This position allows for interactions with owners, land developers, architects, contractors, etc. early in your career along with opportunities for marketing activities.We operate in a fast-paced environment and strive to support a culture that is collaborative, innovative, and creative. Each project presents unique challenges and opportunities to learn and grow as an engineer. The successful candidate will develop expertise in a broad range of civil engineering.The office is located on the west side of Denver allowing for quick access to both the city and the mountains. - Utilize AcadCAD/Civil3D to design, detail, and coordinate medium to large size projects within time allotments and within project budgets.
- Manage and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.
- Serve as a point-of-contact with Clients, Developers, Contractors and other design disciplines.
- Provide quality-control check of work produced.
- Provide project construction administration support including shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations.
- Attend project meetings during design and construction.
- Monitor project budgets and reviews and/or approves invoicing to clients.

- More than four years of progressive Civil Engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
- Registered PE license in the State of Colorado or ability to obtain one within 3 months.
- 4 – 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Min 4 years’ experience in single-family and multi-family developments
- Min 1 years’ experience with PE license.
- Knowledge or proficiency with Civil3D, StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoTurn
- Knowledge of site entitlement processes of jurisdictions within the greater Denver Metropolitan area
- Shows strong interest in participating in company initiatives.
- Construction field experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
