Muller Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for its Structural Team at the Project Engineer level. We are seeking candidates who want to work in a creative and collaborative environment to successfully deliver Muller’s numerous transportation projects throughout the Rocky Mountain Region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Lead structural engineering projects from inception to construction, encompassing a diverse range of civil engineering structures, including highway bridges (steel plate girder & prestressed concrete), pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, foundations, and hydraulic structures.
• Execute daily tasks, such as selecting industry-standard bridge engineering/design methods, utilizing specialized software like MicroStation, AutoCAD, Prestressed Concrete Design, and Steel Design, and performing precise structural calculations.
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, and design reports while conducting preliminary and construction cost estimates to ensure cost-effective and efficient bridge and structural designs.
• Take ownership of projects, demonstrating a high level of responsibility and accountability.
• Perform field observation work when necessary, under minimal supervision.

Education and/or Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• 4-8 years of experience in structural design.
• Strong technical knowledge of MicroStation, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using structural analysis programs and bridge design software.
• Experience with bridge load ratings including AASHTOWare Bridge Rating (BrR) is a plus.
• Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and CDOT design requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and organizational skills.
• A team-oriented individual with a desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs and drawings supporting our client’s overall project goals.

Required License or Certification: 

• Active Colorado Professional Engineer license or ability to transfer from another state within 6 months of hire.

Base salary range for this position is: $90,000/yr - $110,000/yr dependent on individual education, qualifications, experience, and other factors.
