Description:
As a Bilingual Legal Assistant (English/Spanish) at Immigration Law Group LLC, your role will be vital in providing legal and administrative support and assistance to our immigration attorneys and clients. You will primarily focus on facilitating communication between our attorneys and Spanish-speaking clients. Your proficiency in both English and Spanish, combined with your knowledge of legal procedures, will contribute to the success of our firm in serving the diverse needs of immigrant populations.

Responsibilities:
Communication Facilitation:
-Serve as the main point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients, providing assistance in person and via phone or written correspondence.
-Accurately and efficiently translate legal documents, such as contracts, immigration forms, certificates, letters, and other relevant materials, between English and Spanish.
-Interpret during client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings, ensuring effective communication between attorneys and clients.
Client Support:
-Conduct initial client intake, collecting necessary personal and immigration-related information from Spanish-speaking clients.
-Assist clients in completing immigration forms, applications, and other required documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal guidelines.
-Provide updates to clients regarding the progress of their cases and assist in answering general inquiries.
Document Management:
-Organize and maintain client files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
-Prepare and assemble legal documents, such as petitions, affidavits, and forms, for attorney review and submission to relevant government agencies or courts.
-Assist attorneys in researching and gathering supporting documentation and evidence for immigration cases.
Administrative Support:
-Schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for attorneys, clients, and other relevant parties.
-Manage attorney calendars, ensuring deadlines and court appearances are properly tracked.
Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry, mail processing, filing, and photocopying.
Requirements:
-Fluency in both English and Spanish, with good written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
-1 or 2 years of prior experience working as an immigration legal assistant or paralegal is preferred.
-Proficient computer skills, including legal software and Google Suite.
-Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
-Professional demeanor, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
