Role Overview:

Title: Repair Center Manager ; Location: Houston, Texas

The Repair Center Manager directs and coordinates administrative / repair activities of Repair department. Lead the shop repair techs in their required duties.

Key Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • This position is a supervisory role
  • Plans and executes Field Service activities including logistical support planning (FS Technician scheduling, equipment, tools, sub-contractors, travel, etc.).
  • Assists with planning strategies for capturing service and repair opportunities and provides updates to EOM.
  • Provides quotations for service and repair opportunities to customers.
  • Facilitates parts orders to support FS Technicians on-site and assists with expediting parts shipments.
  • Books orders for Service and Repairs.
  • Accountable for gross margins of Service and Repairs.
  • Promotes and assists in the establishment of proactive preventative maintenance programs and correct reconditioning procedures for CCI products with customers
  • Assists Field Service in the planning of warranty service work for CCI’s products at Repair Center, at the customer’s facilities or at reconditioning centers. This includes problem definition, repair/service planning, correct parts definition, sub vendor requirements, timing and costs.
  • Computer-based duties include: quotations, sales order entry; acknowledgements; invoicing; purchase order placement; vendor invoices and EOM maintenance.

Critical Competencies for Success

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a related field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience
  • B.A. or B.S. Degree preferred

Core Competencies:

  • Drag, BTG, Sulzer, STI Actuators, and other Valve related components. Must have sound working knowledge of all CCI valve related products. Must have sound communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to lead and work with limited supervision.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Continuous improvement, in regard to organizational quality and performance, focuses on improving customer satisfaction through continuous and incremental improvements to processes, including by removing unnecessary activities and variations.
  • Maintain 5S, and shop housekeeping. Must be safety conscious and focused on the health and wellbeing of the team members in the repair shop.

Customer Focus:

  • Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
  • Drive the shop schedule and maintain high standard for On-Time Delivery.

  • Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; is constantly and consistently one of the top performers; very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results.
