SUMMARY:
The Health Center Manager II is responsible for the overall maintenance and operations of two health centers or a larger health center, including the front desk, and clinical departments. The Health Center Manager II will provide process improvement activities that will promote a more efficient workflow and increase customer satisfaction at all Health Center locations assigned. All efforts must be geared towards improving patient care and the work environment. The Health Center Manager II will also be responsible for providing ongoing performance measures and will work closely with the Operations Manager and Chief Operations Officer to ensure that the needs of the Health Centers are being met. The Health Center Manager II is responsible for organizing and directing the work of all Medical Assistant staff while working in conjunction with the Lead Medical Assistants and Clinical Nurse Manager. The function of the Health Center Manager II is to develop and maintain an environment that supports the efforts of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and other medical providers and staff. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or five years of experience in a related area of healthcare management experience in lieu of a degree.
· Master’s Degree preferred
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the supervision and overall management of Clinical, and Front Office Staff.
2. Responsible for the supervision and overall management of his/her assigned clinic sites.
3. Ensuring maintenance and compliance with City code and Joint Commission.
4. Oversees routine, day-to-day practice, and support services to include monitoring staff schedules for adequate coverage.
5. Conducts staff meetings to discuss new or modified procedures for assigned staff.
6. Conducts/oversees work quality audits.
7. Addresses departmental needs: distributes petty cash to the front desk, and coordinates purchasing and receiving supplies.
8. Ensures all medical records are maintained in a confidential manner and in accordance with standard medical records procedures.
9. Prepares reports, statistics, and surveys as needed from the practice management system.
10. Conducts staff performance reviews.
11. Provides disciplinary actions to staff as needed including coaching /development, and terminations as required.
12. Addresses overall facility needs which includes opening and closing the facility each day.
13. Reviews Operations Policies and Procedures to ensure that the health center is operating efficiently.
14. Implements short and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures.
15. Assess and recommends programmatic/operational adjustments for improvement.
16. Monitors FQHC regulations as they apply to the health center.
17. Maintains appropriate internal controls over operational functions of medical services.
18. Ensures that all equipment licenses are in place and current and ensures that inspections are performed on equipment and facilities as required to be in compliant with all regulatory agencies
19. Performs equipment inspection for safety, cleanliness, and hazards.
20. Ensures adequate facility equipment is performed on a routine basis and schedules preventative maintenance for medical/dental equipment.
21. Responsible for ensuring preventive maintenance contracts are in place i.e. air conditioning/heating units, fire alarm, etc.
22. Provides excellent customer service.
23. Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team.
24. Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
