```Job Summary```
SynthX Center (synthX.rice.edu) at Rice University is seeking a Center Manager to support center proposals by assisting with proposal writing, submissions, budget management, and reporting. The Center Manager will also oversee and organize seminars, retreats, workshops, study groups, and other center events.

```Duties```
· Schedule & organize seminars, retreats, workshops, and study groups.

· Read and interpret grant requirements to assist with writing & editing proposals.

· Ensure full compliance with grant guidelines, terms, and conditions.

· Oversee awarded funds' fiscal management and submit timely progress reports.

· Submit event & monthly expense reports for center activities.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

```Experience```
To be successful in this role, the Center Manager should have:

- · Minimum requirement: Bachelor, Master, or PhD degree in STEM or Medical field

· Related professional working experience is a plus:

o Experience in a higher education setting supporting faculty.

o Working experience with proposal preparation and management.

o Publication in STEM or Medical field

· Skills

o Strong interpersonal, time-management skills.

o Strong scientific writing skills.

o Able to listen and communicate (verbal, written).

o Able to work in a deadline-driven, results-oriented environment with faculty, researchers, administrators, and students.

o Able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision, adhering to priorities and meeting deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,450.20 - $52,000.22 per year
