Illinois Institute of Technology is Hiring a Director, Student Recruitment Near Chicago, IL

Reporting to the Associate Dean for Recruitment, the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment Strategy administers the strategic, operational, financial, and personnel functions related to Recruitment within the Stuart School of Business. The Director provides leadership in the recruitment of students using data to make evidence-based decisions and develops and directs fiscal and resource strategies, plans, and policies related to recruitment and marketing. The Director provides expertise and knowledge of best practices and leadership in facilitating the creation and implementation of Stuart’s recruitment plans and develops and executes multifaceted communications and engagement plans to drive enrollment and maintain key partnerships. The Director collaborates with Stuart leadership and Illinois Tech central offices on a regular basis.
COMMUNICATIONS
Effective, courteous, and responsive communications skills (oral, written, presentation). Experience delivering presentations to a variety of audiences required. Ability to effectively and respectfully represent the school at industry events and special occasions that affect the image and reputation of the Stuart School of Business. Proactively provides reports and updates including metrics and analysis regarding recruitment strategy and activity. Effectively and appropriately communicates with upper administration, and university department.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
This is a highly collaborative position. Will be expected to successfully work with Illinois Tech Stuart faculty, staff, and students. Will interact with university departments such as Illinois Tech Marketing & Communications and Illinois Tech Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions. Expected to develop strong collaborative relationships with all internal and external customers, as well as outside vendors. Ability to engage with a diverse and highly international prospective, current student, and alumni population is essential. Must set high standards for collaborative partnerships.
Special Schedule Requirements
Some evenings and weekends may be required to cover recruitment events throughout the year with the benefit of flexible schedule and/or work from home arrangements. Extensive US travel required, some international travel possible.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Master’s or professional degree required (particularly in a business or higher education field). Five to seven years of experience with recruitment required, preferably in an educational setting. Graduation from or experience in working in a business school preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, multi-task environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills preferred. Strong project management skills preferred. Familiarity with higher education and/or business school marketing preferred. Knowledge of higher education recruitment and strategy development required. Basic skills with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required; experience with Google Apps for Education suite (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, etc.) preferred.
SUPERVISION & BUDGET AUTHORITY
Position has budget authority over annual budget of up to $65,000. There are supervisory responsibilities for 1-2 student workers.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Operations Manage recruitment budget and expenditures upwards of $40K annually and collaborate with Illinois Tech Marketing and Communications on recruitment marketing with a budget of over $50K annually. Track and evaluate effectiveness of all recruitment events, outreach efforts, and campaigns, using data to inform recruitment plans. Design and implement strategy to increase yield of admitted students, tracking the effectiveness of all efforts. Develop, assign, monitor, and evaluate outreach strategies for the student recruitment team. Design and manage on-campus recruitment events, including open houses, campus tours, and events, as well as online events such as webinars and live chats. Develop and deliver high-quality presentations at information sessions (online and on-campus) and fairs to engage prospective students. Provide regular updates on progress of recruitment and enrollment initiatives to Stuart leadership and routine reports to Stuart faculty and staff on recruitment and enrollment outcomes. Contribute admissions and enrollment data for external organizations and produce ad hoc reports and analyses. Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge about Stuart programs, admission requirements, academic and co-curricular opportunities, and career outcomes through regular interactions with faculty, staff, and students, as well as relevant university offerings, policies, and procedures. Incorporate current students and alumni in recruiting activities. Create and manage the implementation of communication strategies for prospective and admitted students using various tools and platforms. Collaborate with key stakeholders in Graduate Admissions, Undergraduate, Transfer, and Stuart to identify appropriate recruiting activities and events Maintain prospect, applicant, and admitted records in the customer relationship management system ( CRM ) and serve as head contact for CRM user information and report requests.

Strategic Enrollment Management Design and lead business school recruitment strategy, designing an annual cycle of travel, events, and marketing to drive increases in the applicant pool, high quality admits, and yield of admitted students. Lead business school scholarship strategy/implementation, advising on pricing strategy and collaborating to manage discount rate. Collaborate to manage partnerships with universities, corporations, and other partners to drive enrollment in degree and non-degree offerings, including corporate outreach strategy and relationship management. Partner with university marketing and communication to develop and implement robust recruitment/enrollment marketing strategies, approve designs for digital and printed recruitment material, collaborate on website content.
