International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program. Through short-term visits to the United States, current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields experience this country first-hand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts. Projects typically last two to three-weeks and are designed around a certain topic, with participants starting in Washington, DC and traveling to three to four other communities across the United States. Each project includes participants from one or multiple countries. The IVLP project manager oversees approximately 10 in-person, hybrid, and virtual projects per year, ensuring quality content and implementation. They are paired with a supporting team member for each project and has overall accountability for the project’s success.
The Institute of International Education (“IIE”) has a hybrid work environment that allows team members a combination of in-office work and telework at any of the locations listed above.
