Description

 POSITION SUMMARY

The Information Technology Project Manager is a member of the Information Technology and Business Intelligence department. The position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various technology projects from initiation to completion, including contract management. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational and leadership skills to ensure successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of Information Technology projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Lead project teams, ensuring adherence to project goals and objectives.
  • Execute project plans, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and project team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals with overall business objectives.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings and produce relevant reports.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address challenges to prevent project delays or scope changes.
  • Ensure that projects comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
  • Work closely with departments to secure necessary resources and support.
  • Manage external vendors and contractors involved in the project, including contract negotiations and compliance.
  • Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts related to Information Technology projects.
  • Ensure contracts are compliant with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and address any issues that may arise.
  • Define and implement quality standards for project deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure project success.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related discipline or equivalent experience.

· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

· Project Management and Business certifications including Sigma Six, are a plus.

· 3-5 years of experience in IT, Business Analysis, IT Project Management or related technology field.

· Exhibit specialized expertise in managing IT projects.

· Ability to successfully and autonomously manage projects of a varied and complex nature.

· Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365, specifically Teams and SharePoint.

· Experience with Visio and Power BI strongly preferred.

· Experience in data analysis and analytics.

· Experience with project management tools including: Tableau, Monday.com, or Basecamp.

· Demonstrate excellent problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. 

· Ability to work proactively and operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment with variable deadlines.

· Maintain high ethical standards of integrity and quality.
