Ignite is currently recruiting for a Data Support Specialist supporting International Space Station (ISS) team in Houston, TX. The candidate will perform a variety of assignments to enable successful development and maintenance of hardware support products. Candidate will support the Logistics Engineers by performing data mining/collection activities and reconciling data pertaining to space flight hardware.

This position will be full-time, within a long-term contract and is expected to be 100% onsite.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify, research, compile, maintain and manipulate hardware data within internal databases and spreadsheets that address logistics requirements
• Collaborate with hardware project lead and subject matter experts to determine data accuracy
• Investigate anomalous data and reconcile any data discrepancies
• Work collaboratively in a team and independent environment to support Logistics requirements
• Experienced in data entry, analysis and management

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

• Fundamental familiarity with database systems
• Ability to work effectively both independently and cooperatively in a team environment, maintaining focus and professional disposition within a dynamic, challenging work environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, as well as the full suite of Office tools
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated follow through
• Proactive, self-starter with initiative to recognize and respond to needs while effectively and efficiently prioritizing multiple tasks
• Strong analytical skills, solid time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Outstanding communication and customer interface abilities

Required Experience:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 0-5 years of related experience. Specific experience associated with the space industry or International Space Station is not required.
