The Loan Compliance Data Specialist is responsible for documentation support for compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and/or Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and related regulations. Responsible for accurate and timely collection of the CRA and/or HMDA data to report to the Compliance Department and Fair Lending division. Additionally, ensures compliance with Bank policies and procedures, as well as, applicable state and federal banking regulations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Data Integrity review for HMDA and small business loans.

2. Compile the data required for input to the HMDA and small business LAR.

a. Review new and renewed loans.

b. Review denied/withdrawn loans.

c. Assemble the data required.

d. Collect documents needed to support the data input to LAR.

3. Conduct internal quality assurance evaluations for compliance and correcting errors found during data integrity review.

4. Report Compliance issues to the Loan Operations Compliance Manager.

5. Support the Compliance Department and Fair Lending Division as needed.

6. Assist with regulatory, internal, and external audit requests.

7. Attend compliance webinars/seminars to maintain knowledge of compliance updates/changes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

These specifications are guidelines based on the minimum experience required to perform the essential functions of the job. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines:

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Work-related experience must consist of Lending Compliance, Loan Operations department, or Loan documentation compliance.

• Educational experience, through formal school or financial industry related curriculum, is required to be applicable to the financial industry, preferably in loan compliance.
