Description

Position summary:

The individual in this role supports different areas of the organization by performing clerical/admin work by providing customer service and data entry support for various plant programs following all established work and safety procedures.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provides general office functions, including data entry and file maintenance.
  • Performs customer service functions by assisting with routine employee requests.
  • Assists with new hire onboarding process and orientation.
  • Organizes various employee and advisory board events.
  • Leads monthly safety meetings and provides associated reports.
  • Participates in trainings and meetings as requested.
  • Supports cross-departmental functions as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and tact in dealing with employees and management.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Education and work experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in business preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in clerical work.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
  • HR experience a plus.
