ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This person is a key member of the Learning and Development team. They will be responsible for developing, creating, implementing, facilitating, and administering training and development programs to enhance the skill, knowledge, abilities, and productivity of all levels at Hunt Electric. This position will work closely with the Learning & Development Manager, HR Director, and individual contributors.

Organization Training

  • Create and design course content, materials, presentations, facilitator guides, and other training materials; review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs; recommends appropriate changes.
  • In conjunction with the manager, researches, plans, organizes, and conducts training programs, seminars, and conferences for employees.
  • Incorporate adult learning principles into courses to increase value and effectiveness.
  • Coordinates, as necessary, established training courses within technical and professional development courses offered by local organizations or community schools.
  • Effectively deliver designed course content in-person and/or virtually.
  • Record and edit web-based training sessions using Camtasia.
  • Support the Learning & Development Manager with conducting needs or gap analysis to determine future courses and programs to develop.

Employee Development

  • Oversees tuition reimbursement programs.
  • Assists in vetting external resources and vendors.
  • Educates and supports employees in helping them identify their own development needs.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and facilitation for quarterly new hire orientation.
  • Develop career paths with recommended training for various positions at Hunt Electric.
  • Demonstrates and portrays a learning culture for the company.

Administrative

  • Assist with EEO tracking and bi-annual audits.
  • Update and maintain all training on the company intranet.
  • Ensure consistency of training materials company-wide.
  • Support participant logistics for training.

LMS Administration & Optimization

  • Manage current LMS (KnowBe4) and serve as the initial point of contact.
  • Assist with identifying and implementing an LMS that will support companywide training and development initiatives and goals.
  • Lead LMS course creation, testing, troubleshooting, tracking, reporting, system updates, and user management to support the learning and development experience while coordinating with support teams and end users.
  • Serve as the LMS subject matter expert: recommend ways to optimize learning and development offerings and provide coaching supporting in the development of effective users and effective training programs.

Research | Continuous Improvement | Department Support

  • Understand and educate users on internal technologies used to support learning.
  • Research and bring forth recommendations for new tools, online learning best practices, and other software that would enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree concentration in Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Educational Leadership, Human Resources, Business, or related field plus 1-3 years of related professional experience, or a combination of both required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
  • This position is generally sedentary. Employees are frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
  • This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
  • This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
