POSITION SUMMARY:
The Loss Prevention Manager, under the guidance of senior or executive leadership, leads the loss prevention staff while overseeing Houston Food Bank's (HFB) loss prevention efforts to safeguard assets, mitigate risk, and oversee security measures at all HFB facilities. This role provides leadership for developing, implementing, and managing security standards, incident investigation processes, and security programs, as well as coordinating training requirements for all such processes and programs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages two (2) or more direct reports by providing guidance and/or oversight to employees and/or contractors. Develops and maintains roles, responsibilities, and expectations. Practices performance management in support of employee development, and perform administrative duties associated with being a people manager. Responsibilities include interviewing, planning, assigning, directing work, and resolving problems. Responsibilities also include sponsoring and participating in and/or supporting project teams sponsored by other management team members.

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with HFB policies, and applicable federal and state laws; including the EPA, OSHA, MSDS, USDA & Texas health and safety laws, as well as, grant and/or funding requirements or regulatory operating standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a standing or stationary position for a significant amount of the workday; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the facility, use hands, wrists and fingers to grip, type, and write. The employee will need to have the average ability to hear horns, warnings, and alerts associated with a warehouse. The employee is occasionally required to travel to other sites for business. The employee may occasionally be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The job is generally performed while moving in a combination of indoors and outdoors, the employee is often exposed to Houston, TX weather conditions and occasionally exposed to freezers, enclosed and/or tight spaces, wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the employee will be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels (e.g., horns, fans).
TRAVEL REQUIRED
Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 10% of the time and on a domestic basis).
This role supports all hours of operations at the Houston Food Bank facilities as necessary and requires a flexible work schedule. Houston Food Bank is a disaster relief organization, and this position is a key member of the disaster response team.
