About the position

As The General manager, you will ensure that customers experience The Sweetest Way To Buy or Sell Your Car™ by overseeing and developing the sales staff. You'll manage the sales online or in-store, work with lenders, and drive the business forward. You will lead HoneyCar's simple process of transparent market pricing, desirable inventory, and daily onsite training of sales managers, office managers, and sales/finance department managers to meet profit levels. You will also Implement growth strategies that align with automotive group objectives by carefully assessing profit and loss while maintaining vehicle inventory that meets the needs of the local market. Additional duties include 

  • Attend manager meetings and establish good working relationships with owners, managers, and dealership staff to establish sales processes and recommend daily unit sales
  • Assist with the creation of affordable advertising campaigns and programs to increase sale and brand visibility for the car dealership

Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of experience in a sales manager or general manager position for a dealership or auto group is necessary
  • Have an enthusiastic attitude with high energy throughout the workday
  • Strong communication skills; a track record of leadership; and the ability to interpret profit and loss statements are necessary for success
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Be a great communicator with customers and team members
  • Persistent, competitive and have a good work ethic
  • Available to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Entrepreneurial and ambitious spirit 
  • Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or GED equivalent needed
