Description
The Executive Assistant to Pastor position assists the Pastor at this busy, growing parish with his day-to-day activities, events, and appointments. This position includes scheduling, assisting with preparations for the pastor's meetings, retreats, travel arrangements and other responsibilities. Applicant must be highly organized and detail-oriented as well as provide a positive experience to parishioners and others seeking to communicate with the Pastor. Mature discretion and confidentiality are essential in this role. Prior experience as an Executive Assistant or in a professional business environment is preferred. Position reports to the pastor. Position is full-time with benefits and compensation is commensurate with experience.
Requirements
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Minimum of 3-5 years of Executive Assistant experience or equivalent professional business environment
· Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
· Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
· Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word and other relevant parish software
· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Practicing Catholic with the ability to articulate a clear understanding of the Catholic faith and to serve as a committed witness to its mission
· Knowledge of Catholic liturgy and sacramental theology helpful but not necessary
