Holston & Huntley LLC is Hiring a Paralegal Manager Near Atlanta, GA

POSITION SUMMARY
The Paralegal Manager manages and develops the paralegal and support teams and the systems and processes utilized to conduct research and produce legal documents. Responsible for case management by assigning cases and monitoring the progress to ensure timely completion. The Paralegal Manager oversees the preparation of legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, motions, appeals, and other legal documents. Organizes documents into formal reports and proofs for attorneys. Provides research and training support to the team. Coordinates with attorneys on special requests or highly complex projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS:
  • Monitor and manages work allocation.
  • Manage time off and other requests to ensure office coverage.
  • Monitor paralegals’ hours, utilization and scope of responsibilities.
  • Coordinate cross-practice/department support as needed.
  • Manage the timecard approval process and ensure compliance with the Firm’s timekeeping policies.
  • Run KPI reports and assist attorneys
  • Responsible for the paralegal team operations and oversee all aspects of Paralegal and team performance.
  • Maintain effective relationships with Paralegal team members and attorneys.
  • Develop, propose and implement policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Identify and confirm paralegal hiring needs and assist with the onboarding of new paralegals.
  • Manage employee career advancement, work performance, and related matters.
  • Foster effective coordination and communication among Paralegals across Departments.
  • Manage the ongoing training and development of Paralegals.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess and analyze data.
  • Ability to plan, manage time and multitask effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, public speaking skills, problem-solving skills and both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience providing training and mentorship to junior paralegals.
  • Showcase meticulous organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Must be resourceful, detail-oriented, organized and proactive.
  • Embody high performance standards and attention to detail.
  • Possess a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Experience utilizing MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 5 years’ experience in paralegal management or related area.
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience required.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is highly preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
