This mid-sized law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their Atlanta office. This Paralegal will handle a moderate caseload of pre-suit and litigation cases and work cross-functionally with attorneys and paralegals on several complex litigation cases.

Compensation:

The firm offers a competitive compensation package consisting of $80,000-$90,000 base salary midyear and year-end bonuses case bonuses. Medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD, and life insurance are all covered by the company.

Position Overview:

Case Management:

• Assist attorneys in managing and organizing complex plaintiff litigation cases from inception to resolution on a national level.
• Coordinate with legal teams to ensure deadlines are met and case progress is tracked effectively.
• Maintain electronic case files, including, but not limited to, pleadings, discovery, exhibits, and correspondence.

Legal Research and Analysis:

• Conduct legal research on case-related issues using various resources such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and online databases.
• Summarize and analyze legal documents, statutes, regulations, and case law to support case strategy and arguments.

Drafting and Filing:

• Prepare and draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery requests and responses.
• Assist in preparing deposition summaries, witness lists, and trial exhibits.
• File legal documents with state and federal courts and agencies, ensuring compliance with filing requirements.

Discovery Management:

• Assist in the discovery process, including document collection, review, and production.
• Coordinate document review with outside vendors and manage electronic discovery databases.
• Prepare privilege logs and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Trial Preparation and Support:

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trial, including organizing trial exhibits, witness materials, and trial binders.
• Attend trials and hearings as needed to provide paralegal support, including managing exhibits and assisting with witness coordination.
• Assist in post-trial activities, such as drafting post-trial motions and appellate briefs.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of Litigation Paralegal experience with a preference in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and/or Negligence & Abuse cases
• Trial preparation experience, ideally working a case from pre-suit through or up to trial
• Experience with complex discovery
