POSITION SUMMARY

The Prep Cook is responsible for making recipes, following Lucille’s prep list, and maintaining an organized, clean, and sanitary work station.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs Opening, sidework and closing duties while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the shift
• Stocks station and checks quality of all products
• Prepares all items needed according to recipe during shift
• Follows all safety and sanitation procedures
• Follows and understands all company procedures and policies
• Completes training of kitchen tools and appliances before use
• Follows MSDS book for proper guidelines for use of chemicals and sanitation products
• Grasping and fine manipulation use of hands is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Continuous use of hands and arms
• Continuous reaching, bending, abrupt stopping, stooping, lifting, shaking, stirring, pouring, and carrying
• Ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time
• Ability to work in heated or cooled temperatures for prolonged periods of time

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Basic English reading, comprehension, and communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of weights, measurements, and volumes for cooking procedures
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
• Ability to work quickly in a confined area for an extended period of time
