Hoerbiger is Hiring a Regional Sales Manager - Industrial Sales Near Kansas, KS

HOERBIGER Safety Solutions, IEP Technologies (IEP) is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to grow sales, build brand recognition and strengthen distribution sales channels for our Newson Gale static grounding solutions to the HAZLOC processing industries.

The RSM candidate should have a technical understanding of how manufacturing processes in combustible liquids and vapors, powder and bulk solids-handling industries work, and a functional understanding the primary process equipment in these industries. In addition, the RSM candidate should have experience with the application of industrial fire protection or life safety equipment in the manufacturing industries.

Newson Gale is a global leader in static protection. Our product line includes: Static grounding and interlock systems for protection from electrostatic ignition hazards, static grounding clamps, as well as grounding protection for mobile vehicles and personnel operating in locations where standard grounding systems are not available. We will train the selected candidate on our products.

Position reports to corporate office in Marlborough, Massachusetts, and works remote. This position covers the states of ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, AR, MO, IA, MN. Successful candidate must live in the region, near a major airport. Position requires 50% to 60% travel. Travel also will include participating in local and national trade shows, as well as international travel for training.

Must have 5 years regional industrial sales experience in the territory. This is an Individual Contributor role with direct customer interaction, no direct reports.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Meeting or exceeding territory targets for revenue and profit
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasting of sales opportunities
  • Plan and organize sales visits and provide regular reports, market information, competitor information and customer feedback to the Company, including information to enhance product and service development.
  • Travel within the territory, independently and with management, calling on industrial manufacturing end users, engineering firms, representatives and distributors, authorities having jurisdiction and specifiers in all markets to promote and secure orders for Newson Gale/HOERBIGER Safety Solutions products.
  • Collect detailed technical information to support design and installation of static control products and systems. In addition, provide training to local external sales representatives to identify potential customers and collect detailed information.
  • Consistent contact with other Newson Gale regional managers on multi-territory and corporate opportunities, to coordinate sales efforts to maximize chances of success. Work with Newson Gale Product Specialist on technical matters involving Newson Gale product line
  • Coach and train external sales representatives and distributors on the full range of Newson Gale products to increase customer acceptance and market share
  • Operate as an ambassador for the company by promoting all aspects of our product technology, including product presentations for large and small groups
  • Cultivate contacts to maximize business opportunities and participate in trade show.

Requirements

  • Five years’ experience business development experience in technical product sales in Fire and Life Safety preferred or in a similar industry. Selling experience in manufacturing process equipment will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting technical and sales presentations to end users, distributors, and representatives as well as other influencers.
  • Distribution/channel territory development and management experience a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing process equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred; bachelor’s degree in business or marketing will be considered with equivalent experience in manufacturing process equipment technical sales or a related fire protection discipline and equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able/willing to travel 60% of time by air and auto. Valid Driver License, safe driving record required.
