Description

POSITION SUMMARY 

We are seeking a motivated, remote sales representative to join our expanding team! This new position will drive company revenue and customer diversification primarily through new business development and supporting growth efforts with established customers. 

Essential Functions Statement(s) 

  • Cultivate and qualify new bulk business prospects utilizing analytical research and cold calling techniques.
  • Employ a consultative and strategic approach to interacting with customers.
  • Understand Bulk customer preferences to determine focus of sales effort. Review customer account activites and follow up to ensure business growth.
  • Develop and utilize an SOP so all parties involved understand the requirements and expecations of the customer account.
  • Oriented to profitability; must have knowledge of market and competition and aligns work with strategic goals.
  • Proactively collaborate with Hill Bros Logistics (HBL) personnel to secure capacity and/or 3PL services for customer solutions, resolution of issues, and monitors providers for on-time service, service functions, and compliance with HBL requirements.
  • Continuous dialogue with operations to stay knowledgeable of ever-changing freight needs of the company and match sales to to meet those needs.
  • Enter data and/or supervise entry of data into TMW system and CRM to generate reports with opportunites in the pipeline and revenue potential. 
  • Contribute to bid packages and follow up with pricing opportunites. 
  • Process and resolve customer concerns, questions, and/or complaints.
  • Ensure shipments are properly executed according to our company's standard operating procedures, while meeting and exceeding carrier and customer expecations. 
  • Understand carrier's preferences to determine focus of sales efforts. Review customer account activities and collaborate with Capacity Coordinator and/or Freight Broker to ensure business growth.
  • Consistently reports to work as required and completes normal work hours. 
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.

SKILLS & ABILITIES 

Education: High school degree or equivalent

Experience: Prefer at least 2 years of related experience. Logistics sales experience preferred.

Computer Skills: 

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with TMW Suite software helpful

Experience with the use of a CRM (Customer Relations Management)

Other Requirements:

Occasional travel to Omaha, NE.
