Job Summary: The Biller computes rates and charges, posts revenue, and invoices the paying party for work handled by the local branch.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process local, international, and commercial billing
• Post revenue and create receivables - in Great Plains or Movers Suite
• Create invoices
• Process credit card charges
• Scan required documents
• Collect missing paperwork
• Receive and audit all paperwork relative to accurate inventory and weighing processes (Weight Tickets, Bills of Lading and Inventories and other documents as deemed necessary by Suddath) in conjunction with provided guidelines to assure accurate completion of the paperwork.
• Compare weight tickets to the inventory pages to assure shipment weight and piece count conform to established guidelines provided to Local Biller by Suddath.
• Use the carton packing formula provided by Suddath to confirm packing services provided fall within Suddath provided norms.
• Utilize the reweigh tickets in the event a reweight is required, and conduct a second review of the shipment.
• Advise immediate supervisor If there is a discrepancy between accepted standards and guidelines as established by Suddath.
• Post cash receipts (where applicable)
• Prepare cash deposits (where applicable)
• Other accounting data entry

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience billing.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
