In addition to the above, we look for people that possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the role. However, we are always willing to train anyone with the right attitude and desire to grow, as you can't teach hospitality.
• 1 years of bartending experience, preferably in a high volume or fine dining setting.
• Ability to prepare and serve beverages to guests according to recipes and knowledge of standard cocktails.
• Stock/restock appropriate areas of the bar with alcohol, glassware, ice and supplies.
• Understands the importance of measuring and consistency.
• Effectively service a full bar top, service rail or assigned station per shift.
• A general understanding of Food, Liquor, Wine and Beer - with a passion to continue a higher level of understanding on all of these subjects.
• Ability to follow and execute steps of service.
• Understanding that we are curators of experiences, not order takers.
• A drive to be organized.
• Ability to maintain menu knowledge - including allergies, restrictions, modifications etc.
• An understanding of anticipatory service.
• Capable to understand and solve problems with a calm and collective demeanor.
