Hewn, a nationally recognized, independently owned artisan bakery located in Evanston, IL, is looking for an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team.
Applicants must have at least one year of professional baking experience. A culinary degree is preferred. This is a position that will include baking pastries as well as some pastry production.
At Hewn, we make naturally fermented artisan breads and pastries by hand, from scratch, every day. We use 100% locally sourced organic flour and grains.
We need someone who can work both independently and with a team and who is committed to producing high-quality, consistent work.
Hewn has been recognized in the New York Times, Chicago Magazine, Food and Wine, Bon Appetit, the Chicago Tribune, Saveur magazine and many other local and national publications for our commitment to making naturally fermented artisan breads and pastries.
