HERMES OF PARIS INC. is Hiring an Account Executive - Equestrian Near Manhattan, NY

The Team:

The Omnichannel Customer Development & Client Relations Management (CDCRM) team is a newer, retail-facing team focused on customer acquisition and retention through Analytics, CRM, After Sales, Client Services, and Experience. The focus of the team is to reach new and existing clients through the sales and service ceremony, bespoke services, smart analytics, and animations all to strengthen acquisition and customer loyalty. The multifaceted team works in tandem to drive traffic to stores and provide one-of-a-kind experiences. 

The Opportunity:

As the Equestrian Account Executive, you are responsible for actively seeking and counseling potential clients by visiting barns for saddle fittings and sales. This position will assist the Hermes retail network by partnering with the boutiques when needed, ensuring client satisfaction through the pre and after sales process. The Equestrian Account Executive must promote brand awareness and excellent service being a true brand ambassador and exemplifying that in every aspect of the role.

About the Role: 

This position will need to partner closely with the stores, the Merchandising and CDRM team, the After Sales Team as well as the Métier to provide the best client experience possible.

  • Technical Expertise
    • Execute precise and tailor-made saddle fitting as well as on the spot quality control in order to make sure that the equipment delivered is aligned with expected quality standards as well as client’s requirements.
    • Ensure a permanent interface between the client and the métier in order to guarantee a steady and smooth delivery and experience. 
    • Assume the after sales servicing directly with the customers and coordinate repairs; be the liaison between Paris and US Craftsperson where necessary.
  • Identification and animation of an efficient network of prescribers
    • Develop new relationships with relevant and influential partner and prescriber riders, trainers and barns to procure sales.
    • Monitor the respect of the agreement between Hermès and the prescriber in terms of commercial performance, identity, and values.
  • Roaming Store Sales Contribution
    • Drive sales to contribute to the Equestrian Roaming Store sales goals and reach saddle sales goals. Focus on saddle sales but also promote the whole equestrian collection through the Equestrian Roaming Store. 
    • Develop and guarantee Hermes image within the equestrian world by identifying new events for Hermes participation.
    • Reporting sales activity/technique and competitors’ key actions/products. 
  • Interaction with retail
    • Provide technical advice; supports and contributes to the training of the retail teams. 
    • Partner with the stores to drive clients/prospects and vice-versa

About You:

  • 3-5 years of equestrian experience with product knowledge on fitting saddles.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and help install horse show fixtures.
  • Experienced rider, comfortable working with and handling all types of horses.
  • Working knowledge of various discipline requirements in the stable and for the show ring.
  • Good organization skills and the ability to multitask while handling challenges with grace and ease.
  • Ability to travel throughout the US to horse shows, equestrian events, client saddle fitting appointments and in-store trainings. (60%).
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mind, comfortable developing relationships in person and over the phone.
  • An existing network in the equestrian market of trainers, riders and clients.
  • A strong understanding of what it means to a Hermes ambassador in the equestrian community.
  • People and Service oriented – friendly, patient, dedicated, adaptable, and articulate; cares just as much about after sales as getting the sale.

The range for this position is $60,519.00 - $81,879.00 annually. Actual rates are determined based on the job, location, and individual experience.
